DESCRIPTION

This apartment is just a treasure: it combines an excellent location with a very practical and pleasant decoration and a clever lay-out.

It is extremely central and therefor ideal both as a starting point for walks and for public transport. The apartment is located on Aribau Street, just off Plaza Universitat, in the heart of Barcelona’s “Eixample”, a neighbourhood famous for its wide and regular streets and modernist architecture, created in the late-nineteenth century. Today it is a lively residential and commercial area.
After a 5-minute walk you reach the Ramblas and the notorious Paseo de Gracia, as well as the central Plaza Catalunya, where many underground, train and bus lines pass. The airport bus stops at 50 m, and only three stations by underground (red line 1) or 20 minutes on foot take you to the Montjuic fairground.

This 55 sq. meters apartment is located on a first floor (there is an elevator too). It is very well distributed: it is divided into a large living room with dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, one inner and thus quiet double bedroom with an enormous built-in cupboard, and a bathroom with bathtub. Besides, there is a small extra room so the washing machine and cleaning material stay out of sight. The double window in the livingroom, that gives out on the street, guarantee total tranquillity.

La situation de l'appartement était tout à fait convenable. Nous avons pu visiter Barcelone à pied, principalement, puisque tous les points d'intérêt, ou presque, sont à courte distance. Pour les visites plus loin du centre, le métro était à quelques minutes.

La résidence louée était tout à fait convenable. Très propre et fonctionnelle, elle a répondu à toutes nos attentes, ou presque. Nous voudrions souligné qu'il est dommage que les propriétaires ne mettent pas à notre disposition des petits objets de toilette (papier de toilette en quantité suffisante, papiers mouchoirs, essuie-tout, etc). Pour un séjour de près de deux semaines, nous avons dû faire ce type de course plutôt ennuyeux que coûteux.
Nous aurions aussi apprécié que le téléviseur soit branché à au moins un poste de langue française ou anglaise. Il est toujours agréable, pour un touriste, de prendre les nouvelles de son monde.

En conclusion, nous recommanderions cet appartement.
